i just went on my sons (hes 14) computer a little while ago to just to updates since it hasnt been on since july. i took a look to see what sites he was on when he was here for the summer. i just about crapped my pants when i seen a lot of porn sites in the cookies. whats a good program that i can get to restrict what sites hes aloud to go on?

Holy moley.  Can't you restrict using XP or Vista?

Some rules - always have them use the PC where you can walk by.

Not that I think porn is all that bad, but other people - now that is dangerous for kids online.

Off-topic - I suggest taking him to a doctor and chemically neutralize his hormones.  Treat the cause, not the symptom!

Are you using a wireless router?  Many have firewalls that allow keyword blocking and mac address filtering.  You can also restrict time of day usage.

OR

Get the fucking PC out of his bedroom!

I started using this last month and it works great. Works like proxy servers like you have at work, but it's free and internet based.
