Maybe there's a reason for that but nothing comes to mind. i could be wrong and it could be a booger hook i think this is the closest thing so far due to the thread looking to about the same as your run of the mill 14mm spark plug. the fact that it looks to be made of brass is confusing as most automotive tools are made from a bit stronger materials. also not sure what the carbon around the tip is about. |

i'm thinking more something along the lines of gas related (as in acetylene)
brass doesn't spark when struck so it's the go to material for this type of application. to be honest that's the only thing that could come to mind between the material and the carbon fouling. |

I'd be proud to hook my boogers with a booger hook like that. |
