I don't post much but I'm here almost everyday. I want to buy a good flashlight but don't want to spend a small fortune. I was thing about the sure fire c2. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I like them, they feel good, but I think $69 it a bit too much... Clean up is easy though.

Great lights, not expensive.   They've got a website.

If you're really on the cheap, China-MArt has a few Brinkmann and Eveready(?) LED's that aren't bad, and use AA's or AAA'a instead of CR'$.

Surefire is good.  You might want to think about what you will be using it for.

As a general everyday task light I carry an Inova X5 and for every thing else I have 12 Surfire's to choose from.

I have the Surefire 6P and really like it.  It is an excellent weapon in the war between me and people who text message in the movies.

I still like Surefire for weaponlights, but all of my flashlights are Fenix.

I've got a Fenix T1 on my Middy.   I love it.    I wouldn't trade it for a Surefire.  It is crazy bright.    I had it up at our cabin two weeks ago, and we had a black bear come in one night.   I took the middy out with me when I took the dogs out for thier nightly pee, the next night.    There is a hillside 247yrds across the canyon/creek.    With the T1 set on "turbo" I could light up the hillside enough to see pretty darn well.   If there was a bear there, I could easily have seen it.

To each his own, and I'm sure there will be more that agree with you.   I had a G2 with an LED on there before, and I know the T1 is a better light than the G2.    I can't afford a Surefire that has the same performance levels of the T1.
