| What the heck is avp.exe and avz.exe? How do I get rid of this? So much for Defender Pro. |
|
Restart in Safe Mode. Start, Run, MSCONFIG Go to Startup, and select "Deselect All" Restart as normal. Do the same, but reactivate any programs you might need...then run your AV software and whatever other programs you might have to remove these... Also check your "Startup" menu under Start, Programs is empty as well... |

housecall.trendmicro.com/ Free online virus scanner. Requires Internet Exploder, but it might help... |
Restart computer before windows loads hit f8 and keep hitting it, select safe mode with networking. Once you are up and running (in administrator account) open up internet explorer and download MALWARE BYTES, you can use it free. Let it update and then run a full scan. You will probably notice a ton of stuff that it detects. This SHOULD clear up your problem Out of curiousity though can you "copy past" your malware log to the forum? I would like to see what got you ETA: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ |

Very good link, Chokey, thanks! According to this, these are applications related to Defender Pro itself, and are needed for Defender Pro to operate..... |

www.glarysoft.com/qs.html The problem is trying to decipher what half of those programs that are running actually are. With computers, you really should avoid shutting down or deleting those things you are not sure of--could lead to major problems. Now, if someone knows how to make sense of all those indecipherable program listings, let me know. Please.
