I do have an  AR and a 1911 however.

ETA:  I don't have an AK either.  Hell, I just realize that the only foreign guns I own are  Mausers,

Approved.

Not that I'm an HK fanboy or anything, but you should get a P7 and a tactical next.

WOW. That's not as bad as owning a AR for over a year and never having shot it(ammo costs and it's not quite complete yet). I make up for that by owning 2 glocks and being in the market for 2 1911s(come tax season it's on).

ouch.

My problem with ARs is i have not taken the time to learn everything about them. I know enough to know that im ignorant on too much. Feed ramps or no feed ramps? Chromed lined or not chromed lined? what rate in twist for what size barrel? so on and so on. All of this info is in the tech forums i know, but i just have not gone through it all. When i finally take the plunge it will probably start with a stripped lower from anvil arms.

with the 1911s... well i was this close to getting a Springfield armory 1911 for $500 the last time i was at the lakeland gunshow, but i got that HK USPc 40 instead. Also I know that 1911s require tweaking and playing with to get right and a number of them have problem from the factory.

I plan on getting both sometime in the near future.

as far as glocks. I've fired them numerous times, my cousin owns one. my step brother owns one. I actually like the USP more but at some point i will have to own at least one.

you know whats worst.... me.... i DID all the research, i know every....little....damn....thing about ar15's, choose everything i wanted to build it on, i mean from the ground up, and then i looked at the ammo prices and it completely turned me off. i felt like i spent those 4-6 months of intense researching had become a waste.
