Lipton Tea is the sponsor of their world tour. http://www.lipton.com Bluedevil [devil] |

I am going to let them know that I will no longer be drinking the fat chick's tea. |
|
I titled it: THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A FINE PRODUCT!!! ([:D] thought that would get their attention) Too bad I will not be able to drink it any longer after finding out your company was sponsoring the "Dixie Chicks" tour. Perhaps once you denounce the anti-American rhetoric of the "Chicks" and end your sponsorship, I will buy your products again. My friends in the area have been told to stop buying your products and many hundreds more were put on notice via bulletin boards all over the web. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, |

Glad I could help [:D] Hopefully the Lipton mail gets flooded with emails and they seriously think about this. I'm all for free speech but her comments were over the top...especially when she was overseas! I'm sure a large percentage of their fan base WERE US troops and their families a couple weeks ago.... |
| Polite but clearly angry message sent. We need to hit these a-hole entertainers where it hurts: in the pockets. Let them know that when they choose to exercise their rights and their mouths, those of us who do not have their public platform to rely on will use the weapons at our disposal: economic pressure on the sponsors who provide those platforms. |

Wow..slick CD jacket.... The Lipton website has pop-up about the Dumbass Chicks "top of the world tour." Here is the contact info from site....with toll free number--> "Please feel free to call us at 1-800-697-7887 from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm Eastern time Monday through Friday, or e-mail us " my letter.... To Whom it May Concern, I am not in support of the comments made by a member of the Dixie Chicks group, in reference to the President of the United States and our actions in the middle east. I do respect the right and freedom of the Dixie Chicks to express their opinion, however I do not agree with their statement. As a fellow Texan, I do support our President and all our service personnel based in the U.S. and overseas. I also am exercising my right of choice as a consumer, and will not purchase or speak favorable about Lipton products. I will not support companies, who support persons or causes that do not act in the best interest of my family, state, or country. I will purchase Luzianne or Tetley brands in the future. Sincerely, |
