... Whadda you know about them?

I've been on somewhat of of a crusade lately to hotrod the shit out of my Cummins 5.9 turbo-diesel (WTF, I don't use it for much anymore)

Question: Research indicates that the stock automatic transmission is the weak link in the chain. Where can I go for an aftermarket or "spec built" robust Dodge truck tranny?

I think you should use the term "transmission" in the title instead of "tranny..."  Your thread title sounds like a DVD in the bargain bin at the local adult smut shop.

How much horsepower are you making over stock?

... Not yet tested on a dynamometer, but once I purchase a FASS or Bully Dog high performance fuel pump (150gph), I expect ~480 HP @ the flywheel

... Nice, but dreamy

Unfortunately I cannot really justify the cost of swapping out the stock automatic transmission.
Are there rebuild kits that beef up the stock tranny?

What do you make stock?  If it's less than a 100hp increase, I wouldn't sweat it (or spend the money).

The transmission in my 06 died with a programmer running about 150hp over stock.  I had a local guy build a new one with more clutches, a new valve body with higher line pressures and firmer shifts, billet input shaft and flex plate and a much tighter torque converter and it is like driving a whole new truck.  I am finally putting the extra power to the pavement.
