... Whadda you know about them? I've been on somewhat of of a crusade lately to hotrod the shit out of my Cummins 5.9 turbo-diesel (WTF, I don't use it for much anymore) Question: Research indicates that the stock automatic transmission is the weak link in the chain. Where can I go for an aftermarket or "spec built" robust Dodge truck tranny? |
I think you should use the term "transmission" in the title instead of "tranny..." Your thread title sounds like a DVD in the bargain bin at the local adult smut shop.
How much horsepower are you making over stock? Matt |
... Not yet tested on a dynamometer, but once I purchase a FASS or Bully Dog high performance fuel pump (150gph), I expect ~480 HP @ the flywheel |
What do you make stock? If it's less than a 100hp increase, I wouldn't sweat it (or spend the money). Matt |
| The transmission in my 06 died with a programmer running about 150hp over stock. I had a local guy build a new one with more clutches, a new valve body with higher line pressures and firmer shifts, billet input shaft and flex plate and a much tighter torque converter and it is like driving a whole new truck. I am finally putting the extra power to the pavement. |
