My mother met him one day while he and his "freedom-loving" buddy, Fidel, were fighting against Batista. She told me she had never before or since met anyone as plainly frightening as he was. "Freedom-fighter" my ass. He was a communist scumbag murderer, and I sincerely hope he is being ass-raped in hell right now. ETA: Oh, and your liberal friend is an absolute moron, but I repeat myself...

Ask your idiot friend about our excursions into Somalia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Rwanda, Haiti etc. under Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton over-threw more governments than George Bush. I would also tell your friend, "Communism is great if you have no personal ability or ambition, so I can see your attraction to it." |

Roberto Guevarra started out being a nice guy. He travelled through South America when he was a young med student and saw the suffering of the little people (this story is told in "The Motorcycle Diaries"). He even volunteered to work in a leper colony where he changed the way the patients were treated; he treated them more humanely than others. This is also when he was introduced to Communism. In a nutshell Communism seeks to do away with all social classes - so there is no one that lives in a mansion while others are homeless. A great idea, but Communism went about solving it all wrong - with violent overthrow of the land and business owners as well as the government - stealing their earned or inherited property and making it state property. In Cuba Guevarra was responsible for the gulag system that was constructed to house the former "elite" members of Cuban society (it was really a place for dissenters) until they could be reeducated. In these gulags many died. Guevarra was personally in charge of firing squads that executed many of those dissenters. There is one account of "Che" (as he is lovingly called even today - something to do with the way he talked) that tells of him ordering the death of a 14 year old Cuban boy who stole some bread to feed his starving body. Many other stories of his "wonderful" exploits exist, but it's been a while since I read them. In short, He's a Commie murderer. In military circles he is laughed at because he wrote a book about guerrilla tactics, but he was in fact a tool when it came to guerrilla warfare. He went up against U.S. Special Forces in Africa and later in South America (forgot the name of the country), where he was killed in the early 60s by an indigenous Ranger company trained by members of the U.S. Special Forces and CIA advisors. |

Your socialist friend doesn't really understand history. She is too full of communist doctrine to believe anything negative you might say against Che or Fidel. Do not try to defend Fulgencio Bastista. He was a robber baron supported by the United States and the American Mafia. So what? His government would have eventually evolved into a democratic regime with the aid of the United States. The Communist Party oligarchy simply replaced a dictator. I see no great improvment in Cuban life simply because Fidel now runs the place. Now, instead of rich and poor they have poor and poor...EXCEPT of course for the senior Party members. I wouldn't waste my time trying to argue with your socialist "friend". Unless she is sizzling hawt and you are or want to bang her, forget it and move on. She will NEVER see the light. To understand this, you must understand the Left's (communists, socialists, progressives, etc.) utopian dream and why they are eternally pissed off at the USA and Conservatives for fucking that dream up. Forget it...move on. |

University of Spoiled Daughters? So what are her degrees in? Getting degrees means nothing. It certainly doesn't indicate ability or ambition. Higher education is a great refuge for the mildly intellegent and amazingly lazy Paying 30K a year to regurgitate what some old communist tells you so you can get a piece of paper is hardly the stuff America was built upon. And grad school? Life appearing a bit more daunting? |
| She's ignorant on a couple of counts. The US did not support Batista. The US wanted him out of there too. The US backed Castro's revolution but did not get involved. After the revolution Castro turned his back on the US and declared himself a communist. Che just wanted to be a soldier of fortune. He liked killing and stuff. |

Here, use this as a template: Dear (Libtard friend): I am sorry that you are a Communist fellow traveler. As such, we can no longer be friends as there is just no common ground between us. Perhaps one day you will understand the difference between Communism and Freedom... it is obvious to most people. Until then, please do not contact me again. Yours in freedom, (sign your name) |

My father was (and still is, for that matter) a BIG supporter of Batista. Mom was much less so. Even Mom would tell me that while Batista was a dictator, so long as you stayed out of his way, he wouldn't bother you. You could study, work, make money, travel, and have a great time. He was a dictator, but a reasonably benevolent one, especially when compared to Castro, who is anything but. |
