I haven't walked in 11 years. Quite bitching. Shit happens. You have two choices, you can either move forward or wait to die. The choice is yours, and yours alone.. I'm guessing you posted before I got my edit in. If you haven't walked in 11 years you have my sympathy. I don't know if I could handle that. |

I hope things get better for you. |

Father in law has had prostate cancer since 2007, hasn't bothered to tell anyone or seek treatment until its gone into his bones and is currently dying, MIL says if we goes might as well dig 2 holes because her health is terrible and she was only fighting to stay with him. So my fiancé (technically common law wife) is a wreck which is no fun and we were planning on getting married in October but with her dad on his way out we may have to move that up just to be sure he can walk her down the isle. Lots of stress, lack of sleep, and the icing on the cake is I'm stuck working midnights so even on my days off I can't get anything done and I only get a few hours a day (if I don't work a double) to try to help her or even just calm her down!
Don't get me wrong, my problems sound like nothing compared to others, but god damn I need some recoil therapy. ETA: Also sometimes it just feels good to vent! |

In 2010, broke 3 metatarsals in my foot, dislocated all 5 metatarsals, had hardware put in. Somehow got MRSA inside my foot. Got married a month later on crutches with a 102 degree fever, high on Hydrocodon, and on $800 antibiotics which made me sweat non stop. MRSA blew out the top off my foot from a recently healed suture on my honeymoon. Painful ass fuck since day one. Finally able to walk 4 months after the accident. Dr left a pin in my foot because my bone grew around it. The pin finally made its way out while I was at work....on a friday. Had to spend all weekend with a pin trying to make its way out...like standing on a nail. finally had all the hardware taken out. My cartilage is fucked. Can't run without my foot hurting. Cost was over $80k. Didn't pay a dime. Got a weekly check for workers comp. First one laid off a year later while my wife was still in school. My severance pay was the amount of vacation I had paid towards me I had to suck a lot of dicks to make ends meet. j/k. Luckily my wife graduated later that month and had a job already lined up. She could be making double than where she's at, but I can't complain too much. I had to take up a retail j ob until they cut me to 8 hours a week and paid the new guys off the street more than me even after working there for over a year. So I quit there and now work at a petroleum lab. It's a long drive to work, but at least Im making more money. Still trying to make ends meet. Hopefully good news will come out of it. |

This year is looking better, but not too long back I found my then wife cheating on me with a "friend" while I was working, we divorced, I lost the the home I'd worked so hard for and paid for, truck was eventually repo'd due to being laid-off and sucked finanacially dry by the ex, couldn't keep my best friend (dog) of 8 years as I had to move into a shithole where I couldn't keep him, gave him to a friend thinking he'll have a better life on the farm, he gets killed a couple weeks later and then I seriously herniated my L5/S1 disc working the first new job I got... on the first day. Had to take it to court as the employer wasn't carrying workers comp. Luckily, I won the court case and a court order was granted in my favor, but the employer never paid, and even though I've faxed/mailed/emailed these medical companies the court order, they still call me and sent me to collections and are actively trying to ruin my credit even further than it's been damaged.
All this happened in <9 months. It was fucking rough. |

Fun times. I still have over 8k to pay off on a hospital bill, at the current rate it's going to take at least another 2 years to pay off. Yeah, it sucks - don't make much money, and the hospital bill is just one of many bills to deal with - it just happens to be the biggest. What can I say, pacemakers are expensive and I was out of work for a while due to it(and not making nearly as much now as I did before this while mess started). This last Friday was the two year anniversary for the pacemaker implant. |
