I was actually the guy about to be shot. First off my Winamp fucked up and wouldn't shut down. Then the game framerate suddenly went from 40FPS into a PowerPoint Presentation and then just gave up. Ventrilo wasn't responding either, so I had to cut the power. Something is running unstable on my computer. I can't isolate the problem. At least it isn't was bad as it was a week ago. |

wtf I run at only 1.3K because from previous OFP experience too much view distance decreases framerate for me. My Specs are: Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2GB DDR2-800 2x Geforce 7600GT in SLI |
Anyone who purchased ArmA would agree that the Demo sucks ass compared to the actual game. Look at some of the ArmA youtube videos.
Are you running a 64-bit OS? Because otherwise only 3.5 Gigs of your RAM would actually be used. |

Yes, I am running Vista 64. And the new beta drivers+MShotfix make ArmA run wicked fast. I was going to set up an XP partition but that is no longer necessary. My stability is now OFP like. Guys, last page, before you downloaded it, I TOLD YOU THE DEMO SUCKED!!!!!! PAY ATTENTION!!!! Like he said, look at the YouTube videos. ArmA is as close as you can get to buying a .mil sim. |

I found some info online that said the demo was fixed BEFORE I down loaded it. the videos I saw on youtube didn't impress me either. lots of them were 3rd person video, very little first person engagement.. lots of flying around... anyway, I'm not going to drag this out any longer, it also seems there is a 'argument' of sorts on-line with BF2 vs Arma.. much akin the the .45 vs 9mm crap here. I won't waste any more of my time with it. it's just a video game, you win. |
