Can you get a good pool table for $5K?  If so, who makes the best in that price range.  Not for me.  I hate that game.  Just can't get the hang of it.

Edit to add Atlanta area, if you know a dealer.

Do you like pool that much?

I mean.... that could be:
6 AR's,
4 1919's with belts and ammo,
1 really awsome 50bmg,
65,ooo rounds of wolf 7.62x39,
16 romanian sar-1's,
or a new set of knockers for the wife.

I can't say pool is worth it really.

then again, im very strange.

You can get a decent pool table for $1k, 2 or 3 is pretty good, 5 is middle to high end.

Find a bar trying to get rid of their old one and refelt it. Did that and found a good slate-top for $500.

I hate pool.  It is mainly a decoration for the media room and bar area of the new house.  It's got to look good and go with a Morton's type bar.

Paid $1500 for mine delivered to the House. Its a Contendor Tahoe, made by Brunswick. Basically a bottom end table, but I love it and it plays great...
