Does anyone know where there are some .22LR SMG's? Ive never seen one around here yet, and I want a SMG, but I want an affordable one that I can affordably shoot, hence why Id like a .22LR caliber, cheap to shoot. Anyone know of any, besides the Ruger 10/22 Gatling Gun kits on GunsAmerica? ( www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976382071.htm ) Something that looks like this would be awesome, but any full auto .22 Id be happy with? |
yeah, i would love to find a full auto .22, but I havent found one yet... |

Here's mine (top - Vector UZI with 22LR conversion) with a Gemtech Hornet suppressor - that's it's little brother (mini Vector UZI on the botton in 9MM). Runs nearly 100% with Winchester High Velocity ammo. Cost is about $6K and rising. Runs in 9MM and 45ACP also. www.lhup.edu/dfisher/uzi01.jpg |

$10k-$15k the last one i heard about transferred at $13,500 with two drums, loader and a few spares. the american 180 is an absolute riot to shoot. the ruger 10/22'can' be...but everyone i've tried to shoot was a jammomatic. rimfire uzi's can also be fun if tuned up to go fast reliably. the new belt-fed upper from tippman/lakeside WILL be mine! |

$1700 gets you the upper, $9500+ gets you the transferable RR M16 to put it on |
| Unlike some others, I've had great luck with full auto 10/22s. These were rental guns from a Class III manufacturer, and a transferrable 10/22 auto is very rare. Shot about 3000 rounds through one in a couple of hours (need a mag loader for that). After about 2000rnds, the holes in the paper looked like staples. The barrel really leads up. And a 30 or 50rnd mag isn't enough. |

RR AR-15 is $9500 bottom price. The LM7 won't work with RDIAC's or RDIAS's not that they are any cheaper these days. You can put it on a standard AR-15 lower as well for semi-auto fun. |
| a machine gun dealer friend of mine transferred a H&R M14 22lr trainer to a local collector recently. It was a very interesting rifle and from what I was told was really rare too since they only got to the prototype phase of development with it. I did get to shoot it and it was pretty neat. Thanks Arvin |
Exactly, not many out there to buy. If he is only selling few every year that makes them pretty hard to come by in my book. Ad the fact that there are many out there looking buy and you get a rare/hard to get you hands on gun. CH |

American 180's aren't getting anywhere near $10k. Asking prices are up there, but the guns are not moving at those prices. Trust me on this, I had mine up for sale for about 2 months at $10-11k with 15 drums and finally came to a deal which will net me about $10k in trade value and cash from the whole package. They're great fun, but I think once the Lakeside upper hits the street AM180 and Norell 10-22 prices will stabilize for quite a while, while it pushes M16 prices further into the stratosphere. Thats one of the reasons I opted to sell mine - to get another M16. Many NFA regulars have already wised up to this, which is, I believe, one reason why AM180's aren't getting higher prices right now - everybody is waiting to see the Lakeside upper. Think about it; why spend $10k on an AM180 when you could get an M16. In a few months you'll be able to buy a beltfed .22 upper for about $1500. Thats two calibers (5.56 and .22) for under $12k, and you still have tons more versatility with an M16 than an AM180. Don't get me wrong, I love the AM180 and they're an enormous amount of fun, but things like the Lakeside upper are going to give the AM180 a good run for the money in the marketplace. |

I know this is going to sound cheesy but.... I used to have loads of fun with a BMF activator on my 10/22 with Ramline 30 and 50 round magazines from prone with a bipod. I would set up in between my parent's blueberry bushes and have a lot of targets set up at 50 yards and crank away. I would pretend I was a machine gun nest ambushing an enemy squad. The BMF fit perfectly on my AR and it was neat to use it with my .22 conversion kit, but I only had 10 round magazines. It would be extremely neat to do the same thing with the Lakeside upper, I would even have belted ammo to "play" with. It would be like having a (extremely) poor man's Tippman, though a real RR would be loads of fun to play with. |
