No, you must understand, tolerate and eventually embrace the hatred he has for the country which is providing for him the things in life that his home country (which he loves, and you should too) simply cannot.

He just wants to turn this country into the same steaming pile of shit that he worked so hard to escape from. What's wrong with that?
