I don't care in the way you think, it's just strange that he's so paranoid. Our first thought was that he was a fence considering all the crap he brings home. Trust me, he's up to no good, I just don't know what. |
Cuz he might screw up and blow the meth lab up, taking out the nearby houses. |
| If you can peek in the garage somehow, see if the walls have changed color. Usually a pink or reddish tint. Side effect of the cookin'. And you'd definitely smell it in the air. A guy I went to high school with got busted with a couple other clowns for cookin' meth in a hotel of all places. |
Well, if you see any of these signs, give your local LEO a call. It might help develop PC for a warrant. Some of the newer techniques for manufacture don't make much odor, etc., but the chemicals and risk of fire are just as deadly:
I had a meth lab 2 doors down from me when I lived in St. Louis. It was fun getting awakened one night by the sound of a raid. Drove the dog NUTS, but I loved it!

How to determine if your neighbor is a meth maker: Get a bow and some arrows. Wrap a cloth anound the end of the arrows and secure it with a string. Pour kerosene/gas/something flamable onto the cloth. Light on fire. Shoot arrow into garage. If the place blows, he does. If it does not, he does not. And try to blame it on someone else. Make sure to take pics/vids and post em here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Disclaimer: I do not recomend doing this so DONT do it. ![]() |

The reason I'm suspicious is because a friend of mine who used to live in Prescott had a neighbor get raided for meth and major firearms/explosives charges. In passing, I told him about this neighbor and his strange behaviour and he said it was just like his neighbors before he moved and the place was raided. He never knew that's what they did until it happened. ETA: Sounds like he's a user more than anything then. Believe me when I say I don't just watch every little thing that goes on around here, but when you're trying to watch your favorite program on TV and he's outside banging on the trash can for 45 minutes, you get a little annoyed. |
+10 ive got friends who are firefighters who go on call to meth raids and they say to can smell the shit houses away |
Shoot some incendiary or tracer rounds into his place and see what happens. |
Best dig up near the furnance ...but in all seriousness, give the cops a call, can't hurt...better than the alternative in which case he might blow the neighborhood up when his tweaked out girlfriend torches the lab thinking shes cooking dinner. |

12 years ago when I was a newly graduated college pup, I came home to a nice collection of Sheriff's cars and vans. My rental at the time butted up to within 3 feet of a 20 foot high storage fence. For reasons that I have yet to learn, they were there because a COMPLETE portable meth lab was found between my south wall and the 3 foot space to the storage fence. ![]() I walked up to the house (so ignorant that I didn't in the least expect to get thrown down to the ground as the "lab" owner) and met with a plainclothes guy. After taking my ID he told me that they had a portable lab stashed and that I wasn't a suspect. ![]() To this day I have no idea who put that shit there, how they knew I wasn't involved (not so much as a "do you know how this might have gotten there?") or anything. I knew then that these fucking dope fiends are the scum of the Earth. The way I figure it, I could have gone down just as easy for that shit even though I didn't know of its existence until I pulled in the driveway. |
Maybe someone was trying to set a neighbor up or something. Dunno. |

If you suspect a dwelling or property may be an illegal lab, contact the police or sheriff's department or call the Arizona Methamphetamine hotline at 1-877-787-6384. If it’s an emergency, call 911. Do not enter a site that you think may have been used for cooking meth. Meth labs present extreme dangers from explosions and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Breathing the fumes and handling substances can cause injury and even death. Meth labs are considered hazardous waste sites and should only be entered by trained and equipped emergencyresponse professionals. |
Can somebody please post a true account of that actually happening? I hear about NG and Propane blowing up real estate all the time, but I have never read of a methlab blowing up with enough force to destroy adjacent houses. Is this a real threat or an urban legend? I always thought Misery loved company. btw- the guy next door might be building EBR's or loading ammo.

I would say that this guy - while probably a user - is not cooking. We've had cookers/dealers in my neighborhood and you can definitely tell what's going on because of the non-stop traffic. There were cars lined up down the street like a McDonald's drive through, and every night when I came home from school I actually had to stop, get out of my car, and draw down on the tweakers milling around in front of my house to make them scatter so I could pull into my own driveway. If this guy was anything except a single end user, your block would be absolutely overrun with tweakers day and night. |
