If it's not made here, they're not being imported. I don't know of anyone fitting these guns with the proper amount of domestic parts to legally sell'em. Then again, they weren't exactly the most popular weapon when they were allowed in. Never fired one, so I personally don't know. They do have an interesting 50 round mag. Can't quite remember what it was about it, but it was an interesting design....don't think it was the regular double stack type....could be wrong. Great help I'vbe been, you can thank me later.

I've got a KBI import 9mm. It's great for a collector because it's as close to the SMG as you can legally get. However, it's kind of silly otherwise as it's an overgrown heavy poorly balanced pistol. Sweet as SMG, weird as pistol. Don't expect a domestic producer either. The Italians make some complicated stuff, and you don't want to see the results of a Hesse attempt at production. For the record the Spectre has a few unique features: 1. Sinusoidal Rifling (probably misspelled). A verson of poly... 2. Decock leading to double action. When the decock lever is pushed, the striker runs forward as if to fire, but runs into a bar that gets inserted between in and the bolt so it never reaches the cartridge. In this condition, the next pull of the trigger will pull the striker back to the firing position and release it. All shots are single action unless it was decocked, when it becomes double for the first one. This was designed as a police requirement stating that the weapon had to be absolutely safe, but quickly usable. This is the same requirement that lead to the HK squeeze cocker. 3. 4 into 2 into 1 magazine. (Difficult to load) |

Pistols are indeed viewed differently than rifles as far as importation, but there are a lot of screwey caveats for importing pistols thanks the the GCA of 68, if I recall correctly. Edited to add: If they were cheap enough I would buy one, it would look real nice sitting beside my MAC. |
I got 1 of those mags! Got it in a box of misc mags I picked up. I never tried to find out what gun it fit, but now I know! CH |
Makarovs have to be imported with a thumbrest to be considered a target pistol since they are so small. |

It is marked SITES I remember that. I will dig it out when I get home. CH |
GROUP BUY!!!! |
Actually, there is no import fees. Made in the US of A. However, the miniguns, Bofor's 40mm's, and the 105mm Howitzer may set you back with all the red tape and NFA fees. |
