I was wondering what happened, also. When I tried to refresh the gd page, I got this:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e31'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

/forums/forum.html, line 48
No idea what it means.

From the homepage:

"Due to the growing popularity of the site, and the need to conserve the resources we have, user's must be logged in to use the forums for the time being.

We realize that this is not an optimal solution, but as a community, limited by financial contributions, there simply is no other way to manage the situation at this time.

We've invested in a few new servers which should go into the network shortly, but in the end, we're still limited by the network bandwidth available to us. For those who need a number to put to this, AR15.Com does over 150 terabytes of transfers per month.

We'll be looking at alternatives for both the short and long term, but with the amount of financial instability affecting everyone, there are simply no guarantees or timetables."

Better to serve the few well, than the many poorly.
