A friend turned me on to the My Father line recently. Im primarily a pipe smoker that likes stout english blends ( like Boswell Railroad Station and Northwoods), so my preference in cigars is something in a rather full body. My go to lately has been the Oliva Serie V Maduro. My first trial was the Le Bijou1922 ( mainly because the local little tobacco store here in East Texas actually had them in stock) Color me really impressed. Ordered a decent selection online and Ive really been enjoying the process. First time in years that my humidor was properly stocked. Hard to put a hard preference order, but In my humble pallate,but Ive really enjoyed La Oplencia, The Judge, Le Bijou 1922, Flor De Antilles, La Promisa, Blue Honduras and finally the Connecticut ( Connecticut was decent but to me it was a bit flat compared to the full body cigars... better than the avg Macanudo or Romeo Y Julietta, but just not enough flavor to curl my toes. The Connecticut would be a great medium stick to have handy to give to folks who dont do many cigars. Still Want to try the My Father Original, The Fonseca, Flor de Antilles Maduro, and La Grande Oferta Figure by the 4th of July I MAY have my favorites narrowed down to a half dozen lol.. Have not found anything in the My Father line that I wouldnt smoke again and again. |
