| I tried some Echo yard tools as an experiment after moving and selling some of my chainsaws off. I kept some of my Stihl equipment and my small Stihl saw. I had planned on buying more Stihl. After trying to get prices on saws from the Sunsouth dealer I gave up and bought 2 Echo saws and a blower. All are awesome with zero issues in 3 years. |

Better - firearms Not like hand crafted better, but better accuracy and reliability from mid to low tier factory guns. Back in the day if you had a 1 MOA rifle it was somewhat of a unicorn. I’ve seen relatively “shit tier” budget rifles shoot MOA or better. Worse - Appliances of all form. |

Honestly, optics and firearms for sure. Budget gets you more than high end from the past. Flashlights for sure. Phones, TVs, ham radios. Worse…construction material as a whole. GFCIs especially piss me off. Clothes were better in the past. But I am a goofy guy about heritage brands. Filson, Barbour, Pendleton and etc. of course they can still be had, but generally speaking. |

Yeah, flashlights have come a LONG way over the years. Love 'em! And everything that runs on rechargeable batteries is a huge game-changer. When cordless tools first came out, they were shit - no power, no battery life, about useless. Now about every electric tool is just wonderful, and the batteries last forever, put out lots of power, and recharge quickly. |
