What would you use for transport in this situation? |
I've heard that the original is quite maintenance-intensive - as are things like M113s and other vehicles like that. If he was the last human alive in Manhattan, I'd think that plenty of storage fuel tanks for gas stations would have enough fuel to last a lifetime. |
And squishing zombies is fun. Too hard for one man to maintain. And the drivers compartment is both small and has no access to the guns. |
| A Brad would be sweet to roll around in, except it requires a crew. So if you were all alone, the most you could do is drive it, hop out of the seat in the middle of SHTF, and shoot. The other problem is maintenance. On the Brad and M113 you would need to know HOW to repair it which requires alot of training and you would need replacement parts. You can't just goto a local hardware store and pick those up. These things constantly have to be worked on. |
I don't know how the mutant managed to not kill themselves when they head butted the SUV. Unless when they mutated, their bones are super strong. |
| Cadillac-Gage Commando V100 variant. Wheeled, 4X4, armored and amphibious. It has about a 550 mile range on gasoline and rolls at highway speeds. FWIW, I'd rig it with infrared lights (if I can find some that emit UV A/B) or tanning bed lights. Then, I'd own the day and night. |
Oxygenated gasoline, which is all they can sell in NYC, does not store well for long periods. Diesel is better for long term fuel storage. |
| Whatever I wanted, but I would def. pickup a motorcycle with some storage bags on the sides of it so that I could move fast through the area and not waste too much fuel doing so. But then again that would leave my dog on his own, so on days I brought him I would ride in whatever I wanted. |
Crap - there goes my plan for surviving the Apocaplypse!! ![]() |
There's plenty of choices parked along the road.
