Have any of you tried this WinClean ammo by Winchester? I picked up a box of it to give it a try. I am guessing by the name it is a cleaner ammo. Maybe it will help in my filthy 9mm AR.

OK results with .45 ACP here.  Had one failure in 50 with a Kimber.

I love it for range use.
Keeps lead deposits out of the barrel (you still get burnt powder, obviously)

I have found it to be very accurate in my USP 45, and my SIG 229 40cal

The .357mags are at max load.  Guys don't like standing in the lane next to me with that stuff.  It is hoater than my handloads.

The only gun I've shot the stuff out of is my P239, and it doesn't like it. (.40S&W)

That stuff turns my Sig into a Jam-O-Matic.

I stick to the regular stuff and have no problems.

For me it leaves less lead residue. It seems to leave a lot of a yellowish particulate residue that likes to stick to the inside of my 9 mm AR.

I find it hard to clean up after. Shot OK, just left some kind of residue in my barrel that was a bitch to clean out.

I've used it with satisfaction in .45 ACP.  I've heard reports of it being less reliable in ignition due to the clean priming compound so I wouldn't use it when  the SHTF.  The primer hole is larger on these cases but I have not seen any differences in the reloaded cases when they are fired.

What makes it so "clean"?

Was going to post something important, but I fell of the wagon tonight... Best not say anything.

I've been shooting Winchester Non Toxic in my 40 S&W,  It seems powerful in recoil, and the emptys come out super clean...(I can't be certain but I think they might be Non-Toxic Super clean)Other than some unidentifiable granule looking shi*t in the cases and barrel it's OK by me.  It pretty much looks as though I could just reload the cases without running through the tumbler.

It seems really clean to me......I shot myself in the foot.......No infection!

The back of the bullet is covered by the copper jacket (instead of being bare lead)...so it does not leave behind lead residue knocked loose by the discharge.

There was enough yellow residue to cause one of my .45s to choke, an FTF, which it hasn't done in over 10 years and not since discontinuing use.
It just builds up and finally gets in the way of a round trying it's best to chamber.
If it works for you, great, I will just avoid it myself other than for some range use because I couldn't find anything else.

Wow,...never saw that happen.

I get black, burnt powder residue in the barrel, but that is absolutely all.
Ive been using WinClean 45,and 40 for years now.

I've used it when WalMart has had it in stock, but thats rare now especially with the Value Packs.   Never had any problems in my Glock .40

It is loaded pretty hot in .357 and was/was NOT a pleasure to shoot out of a Taurus Titanium snubby.

I've used this n 9mm and .45.  I find it to be pretty clean.  When I took a box of .45 to the indoor pistol range, Mr. 18 year old guy there told me I couldn't use it on their range.  Something about the filtration system of the air or something?  Not sure what that was about but I've been there before with it and no one else has ever said anything about it.  Just this one young guy.

I hated it... let yellow junk all in my Glock & my bro's SIG.
