Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with Bushmaster mailorder. I ordered a bolt assembly before Christmas, and it's still on back order.  I've called to find out the status and they tell me they're having a hard enough time getting enough bolts for the complete rifles, let alone individual parts.

I've ordered stuff from them in the past, and have never had a problem. Does anyone know if this is a chronic problem with Bushy, a result of the AWB going away, or something else?

Theyre busy playing catch up. The war and the sunset of the ban has placed a strain on them.  I find it curious that people are always bitching about lead times from different manufacturers, but I always see rifles in the stores in town.

I don't usually cross post between here and pre-ban.com but this is worth a look.

It would seem that Bushmaster may be slipping under the pressure.

Well, I'm not really bitching about it. Just wondering what's going on.

And, if it's a chronic problem (and not a one time thing), maybe I'll go elsewhere for other parts.

i hope they overproduce causing a huge glut of unwanted firearms, and lower prices

I also ordered a BM  bolt in Nov and so far I only have a back back back backorder slip.  4 weeks ago they told me 3 weeks.

Could be worse.  I ordered some stuff from Marstar Canada.  They dicked around for 1 year and then told me I had to apply for another Form 6.  I told them to send a refund.  We'll see how long the refund takes.

It's a conspiracy, BM just doesn't like all of you.

All of these companies are like mom & pop business. They have to commitments to keep from people who ordered earlier, and it doesn't take much to swamp these businesses. These companies make it their business to keep zero inventory on hand, and their goal is to sell everything as soon as it is complete. Sure doesn't help for the military to also compete with the civilians on some parts because I don't think any one of the AR15/M16 manufacturers make 100% of their own small parts and the maybe purchased them from other companies.

What is this AW Ban sunset you speak of??........on a serious note I bought up anything and everything I felt I needed from around 1998 to present - no big rush now that I OVERPAID for a lot of gear prior to September 2004.......I'm not going nuts buying gear now - mainly buying more hicap mags and upgrading existing guns......I'm not surprised that Bushmaster is swamped. Brandname doesnt mean a whole helluva lot with AR's. I like Bushmaster but am just as happy with DPMS, Stag Arms, RRA, etc  - most parts are the same - I love Bushmaster but they are just another AR15 mfg.........thats it.
