Why do the gun companies always put all kinds of warnings down my barrles? |
|
Because those of us who also work in gun factories don't have enough work to keep us busy. We sit on our asses all day and dream up ways to piss you off. You see, we know that if we print enough words on enough It's all about you Fox. Make no mistake about it

Ahhh, ok..... Thanks, I still wasn't quite clear on that. I wonder if he got a nice sticker today...... You know, for being good, and not making stinkies in his pants. |
They are only on there in an attempt to provide the gun company some protection from lawsuits. You would not be breaking a law by removing them (though I don't honestly remember seeing warnings on barrels). In theory if you resold it and the barrel caused some injury that theoretically could have been prevented if the warning was there I guess you could get sued, though that seems pretty unlikely. |
Yup... The same reason you have warnings on cigarette lighters and other consumer products... In the eyes of the law, people are complete morons.... I agree with Fox, I hate the stupid warnings on the bbls of newer guns. |
LOL, that's what I was thinking. Seriously, you might better be served looking for you answers here: www.ar15.com/forums/manageReply.html?a=quote&b=3&f=9&t=388951 |
