Sig has an ultimate turd in one hand and the biggest winner the last 20yrs in the other. Drop the turd! |

Honestly, I think Sigs ace in the hole wont be the 365 platform, it will be its 2011. That thing is chock full of features, gets good reviews AND takes the 320 mags. I think Sig will move forward with it and try to sell the mil and departments on their 2011. Added benefit for a lot of depts is if they already have a stockpile of 320 mags, they are ready to roll. |

Wow. A 2011 as the .Mil sidearm would be cool. But single actions, cocked and locked are icky to Big .Gov. I qualled on the 1911 in the Army. Never touched the M9, M17 or whatever. |

Quoted: Because it would be any form of acknowledgement that something is wrong with the P320, which they’ve vehemently denied. To be fair. The 320 is like 10+ years old. Not many manufactures who make guns outside of legacy models run a model that long wthout a redesign. |

And while i like the 365, doesn't it have issues with durability at high round counts? I can't say I find that particularly compelling given the past ten years or so of sig quality. That would be admitting something is wrong with it - and with all of the government contracts, they won’t do that. If the gov decides it is flawed and dumps it, then maybe, but I’d think the gov would have to have irrefutable proof that the P320 (M17/M18) is unsafe and therefore doesn’t fulfill the contract to be able to do that at this point. But that’s just my thought. |

That doesn't mean I think its a 'duty' grade pistol like a full size service gun any more than I would find most other upsized subcompacts to be. |

I know of TX DPS Special Agents carrying them. [undercover ops] Go shooting!

Quoted: Isn't that the fuse or whatever? And while i like the 365, doesn't it have issues with durability at high round counts? High round count would concern me and my use not the typical patrol officer. Tactical units should have better equipment than a P320/365 like P226 MK25 or HK P8; IMO |

The maintenance intervals on the P365 are shorter than those on actual duty guns. The trigger return spring seems to be a weak point and will randomly snap after a few thousand rounds. When it happens, the gun is dead, and the FCU needs to be taken out of the frame to replace the part. My guess is the P365 would not hold up quite as well to high round counts and neglect as purpose-built duty guns. It makes a great CCW, but that’s what it was designed to be. |

Quoted: Why doesn't Sig or anyone make a fix for the 320? According to Sig there is no problem with their pistols. After the USAA incident they are sticking to their claim that the gun will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. They can’t reverse course after their laughable “It ends today” media blitz. I think the recent Trigger Bar Springs 'always break' was an internet thing, or if it was an issue, it came and went because it wasn't an issue for the first 6 or 7 years it's been out. Quite a few duty holsters being made for the XMacro and Fuse now. So many other good duty-sized guns now though besides Glock; P365 is still a slim gun. |

I don’t think we’re quite there yet but one thing I will give Sig is they recognized pistols are way too fucking big. I think full size 365 type pistols are the future. No 3/4” wide main springs, no trigger guards made for fingers bigger than any human in history has ever had, and no chunky slides that are way bigger than they need to be. This is how the 365 dominated the carry market. It’s ergonomically designed to make the most out of the least. Sig just needs to make their 17 round 365 frame with a longer dust cover and a 4.5” inch barrel. |

They could scale the 365 up to take 320 mags; much more durable magazine. Not saying the 365 mags are bad, but the 320 mags (and M&P, Glock, or whatever your flavor is) are more durable. I suspect magazine durability is why we don't see a 15 round OEM Glock 43X mag. I don't know what's going on with the P320. I'm not even sure there is anything going on with the P320 as no one can point to cause. |

Quoted: I can't say I find that particularly compelling given the past ten years or so of sig quality. Yep, this is what is funny. People dumping one one gun design while praising another design when they're both made by the same company, using parts made by the same factory, inspected with the same QC, owned and controlled by the same leadership. |
Video from the 2024 Sig NEXT event where they launched the FUSE (I think), around the 6 minute mark they talk about the 365 having 'shootability,' and CEO Ron Cohen claims the FUSE will be carried as a duty gun by law enforcement by 2030. Find it interesting he is calling it, at the time, six years out. Like I posted earlier, more and more duty holsters for the X-Macro and Fuse being made: Four Brothers, Dara Holsters, Black Scorpion, Craftholsters, JX Tactical, and probably quite a few others now.![]() Failed To Load Title Flux just came out with polymer chassis Raider 365 Ultralight and Sig's OEM version was supposed to already have launched. I guess one local department allowed it for duty carry already, but I suspect it might catch on a little more as time goes. Still one of the best gun commercials ever... and you should absolutely cheat these days... ![]() Introducing the Flux Defense Raider 365 |
