http://vimeo.com/95852464 I know GD loves a good bicyclist thread. Good thing DC doesn't have concealed carry or this could have turned deadly. </sarcasm> I'm not exactly sure why nancyboy had to go the ER, other than to ham up the drama queen. ![]() |
| I despise people that ride their bicycle around here. They ride in the lane slowly, they dont follow traffic laws and then when they zip across an intersection they stomp on your car as if you are the asshole for almost hitting them. If I could get away with it, I would make it a point to take one of these fuckers out each day. |
|
When the police arrived I told them what happened and said I had a video. However when I was in the ER Officer Thompson arrived and gave me a Notice of Infraction for "Following Too Closely." Mr. Watt did not receive a ticket.
MPD did not cite Mr. Watt for reckless driving, passing with less than 3 feet, for damaging my person or my property. grumpycatgood.gif |
| I would like to blame the truck this time around but it looks like this biker escalated it and intentionally bumped him to provoke. It also looks like this biker is known for doing shit like this. The ER visit was a nice "victim" touch. So the biker gets the douche award. |
|
Cyclist is a douche
I see many like him all over CO. They never ride "in" the bike lane. Either right at the fucking line, or just outside of it. It's their whole "make you move over" thing. My theory is this: what if cars did the same thing? It would make driving a nightmare, but cyclists...protected class. If they would stay in their lane, and I stayed in my lane, we'd all be good......but they have to ride in ways that make the roads more difficult to drive on in order to make cars "move over." I've even seen those fuckers riding 2-3 wide, one straight up in the car road....not giving a fuck. I really wish that we could run over those assholes. FTR, cyclists that can ride IN the damn bike lane and not ride like a fucking activist I have no problem with. I'm speaking to the asshole cyclists that put themselves into bad positions and then make the car out to be at fault for it. |

All Bicyclists are traffic assholes --- and they'll be along in here soon to prove it. Not all of 'em, being one myself. Wait... But seriously, in any car/bike interaction the bike is going to lose. Several years ago I participated in the MS150, a charity ride for multiple sclerosis with several hundred riders. Our route took us down US 501 (4 lane divided highway). Keep in mind this was a fully supported ride, with police escort, signage, traffic cones, the whole nine yards. Some asshole, driving a beat up pickup hauling a crap trailer full of scrap iron, couldn't take it any more and put the hammer down; he hit a family of four, killing the father and putting the son, daughter, and mother in the hospital. This happened about 100 yards in front of me. Tell me who the traffic asshole was here. |

You are in the minority, if you are talking about CO around Boulder/longmont/ft. collins area. You ride smart, and you aren't one of the guys I have a beef with. My beef is with the cyclists that make it their religion to antagonize car drivers, all the while shouting "share the road." If you aren't that guy, I'm not lambasting you. You know, the guys who have to ride in, or just right at the line separating bikes from traffic...even if they have a bike lane that is 4 feet wide. The people who can't ride single-file up a narrow, curvy, short sight distance mountain road...or even at the edge of the road so that they can be passed....yeah....those guys are the ones I hate. Riding in an approved event? you won't even see my car, as I will avoid it like the plague (go around). |

I get stuck behind them every fucking day. It adds an extra 35-45 minutes to my commute because these fucks decide to go 20mph in the middle of the car lane on a two lane road. Fuck be upon all of them and may they die of a horrible case of eye herpes. |
| I think both parties acted like dicks, but the biker made things worse by trying to cause an accident. I really hate bikers, they think they own the road and most of them know if they are involved in an accident with a car most of the time the law will side with the biker so that just makes them all the braver to do stupid shit. |

If you make it an LE problem, you are more likely to get this resolved. Calling once, probably won't do it. |

One of those vehicles, is operating on the roadway and not licensed nor insured. I'd be a proponent of making cyclists that ride on pubic roads get a license, plates and insurance, just the same as cars (and pay tax, title, etc). If they are going to use the road, and licenses are required for cars because they operate on a public road....then bikes ought to be of the same requirement. After the stunts that they pull around here, they do need to have some control placed on them. They obviously cannot operate bikes on public roads and cooperate with drivers under the current structure. |

Looks to me like the cum guzzler on the bicycle was going to blow the 4 way stop and ran into the back of the truck because he made a lawful stop. Bicycle rider is a douche bag looking for trouble. This cunt drives in the middle of the road when people that aren't hipsters out on their toy are trying to get somewhere. But when he comes up on stopped traffic, he has no problem moving to the right to pedal between them and parked cars. He definitely has victim mentality. 3 pages worth to be exact. |
|
I don't understand the laws fully, but are you trying to say that motor vehicles are not allowed to pass bikes on that road because that's what the truck did. He passed the bike. I guess we need figure out what "may" means. |
|
'May use" If he actually was, the truck would not have been able to pass him without hitting him. He was way off to the side when the truck passed him, it kinda looked like it went from a two lane to a single. Either way, the cause of the accident was the biker, the truck passing him was a separate incident. |

Or driving up on the sidewalk for several blocks when traffic stops.

Typical entitlement liberal hipster douche bag on a bicycle. |

Either way, the cause of the accident was the biker, the truck passing him was a separate incident. It is a one way street with a single lane. Imagine you were in a car on a one way street, and a guy in a truck blazed past you very close, and then cut over in front of you and hit his brakes. That's what the guy did to the bike. There is a bike lane on the other side of the street, but that is so people on bicycles can ride in the opposite direction. |

The guy on the bike could ride dead center in the lane, but he probably knows that that is a good way to end up underneath a 3500lb texting machine. Don't get me wrong, the guy on the bike is an ass that rides around looking for fights, but the guy in the truck is a moron as well. |
