Bought this in a small militaria store in Normandy, where it was found using a metal detector. Should I try to clean it up or just leave it as is?

| Clean it lightly to remove the rust. I'd use nickel (five cent piece) and coconut oil. Afterward preserve with Renaissance Wax. |
