Anyone know what weed this is? The deer love them. This one is about 6' tall and fenced in. The rest make it to about 3' before getting eaten.  http://i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx78/Andrapos/0715121401.jpg  cant post  pic o.n mobile

It's a son of a bitch plant.  Don't let it go to seed on your property.

THIS is a sonofabitch plant... Any bit of root left behind will sprout leaves and grow to seed.   Didn't know I had it until after  I had tilled my garden and it sprouted everywhere, all from cut roots.  :(

It may be a close relative since the overall traits are very similar.   The leaves on this one are narrow and very pointed at the tips while milkweed leaves are slightly wider but very round at the tips.

That's Common Milkweed, there are a few dozen different types, some with pointed and more narrow leaves (Scarlet Milkweed is one). Without knowing what color/type of flowers they have it's hard to distinguish which is which without measuring the leaves.

They never make it to the flowering stage, the deer move in and wipe the plants out!

I would have no problems encouraging this weed to grow in a corner of my food plot if it means I'm more likely to successfully take a deer on my property once hunting season starts.
