Meh, radio morons aren't as bad as phone morons.  Every day I see dozens of idiots (usually women) looking anywhere but the road while driving.

Do you think that a passenger in one of these situations couldn't just as easily distract the driver by saying "hey, look at this" while sticking their phone in the drivers face?

People seem to act like teens were good drivers with low crash rates prior to the invention of cell phones. News flash, they weren't. Accident and death rates haven't markedly gone up since the invention of the cell phone. The cell phone just supplanted other forms of distracted driving (like putting on makeup, eating, reaching back to try to smack your kids in seat behind you, reading the news paper, etc.). Banning cell phones in an effort to reduce distracted driving accident rates is as stupid as banning one out of four fork tines in an effort to reduce obesity.

I will bet money that people who listen to Rush are more intelligent than people who listen to pop, rap or country.

Who do we talk to in government to get money for our study?

I drove the Dragon pretty hard in my S4 listening to Boston. I didn't wreck, and I'm only a few years older than those teens. It was definitely their music that caused the accidents. I'm positive.

I suppose I could have worded it a bit differently, but new drivers (as they appear to be in the video) are usually more easily distracted... therefore, some sort of interlock shouldn't be ruled out.

As an idiot who in the past accumulated two (2) DWI's within 3 years and wound up with an ignition interlock on his vehicle, I don't think it's unreasonable...

Fucking morons.

It wasnt that long ago that I was a teen driver and while I did some dumb shit on empty/backroads, I drove attentively and carefully.

It might have had something to do with the fact I was driving a project car my dad I and put together over the course of a few years, 90% of which was funded with money I earned cutting grass and working part time jobs. I knew I would also be killed in a fender bender
