| The thread I started last night on the poor quality of Hoppes containers seems to have mysteriously and suddenly vanished. Not locked, not moved, but simply deleted entirely. Did anyone have an opportunity to see if there was a system message associated with its untimely demise, or have some clue what justified the elimination with extreme prejudice? |

And why wouldn't they just edit the thread title instead? |

There was a sticky tacked for several months explaining that they were getting tired of warning/editing thinly veiled profanity in titles and that those threads would be summarily trashed. |

In my range bag I used to keep some Hoppes No. 9 in one of those small twist-top plastic bottles that come in a USGI cleaning kit. I put it in a ziploc bag with a wadded up paper towel. If I let the range bag get hot in the trunk of my car going to the range it would leak a little bit, that's what the paper towel is for. Later I stopped using No. 9 altogether and just started using Ed's Red. Use the same bottle/paper towel/ziploc system for it too but haven't had any leaks. |
