Is there a free utility that will let you emulate a cd burner on a hard drive. I have iTunes on my laptop and I want to convert the m4p files to mp3. My laptop doesn't have a cd burner. I want to fool iTunes into thinking its burning a cd. Vulcan94 |
You are absolutly right. The problem is that my laptop doesn't have a burner, just a DVD/CD-ROM. I just want to change my .m4p music to .mp3 and dump iTunes. Vulcan94 |
Have you tried with BF2? I was going to use a virtual CDROM function that is actually native in Windoze... but when I tried to rip the BF2 CD to an ISO, it failed. |
I use Daemon Tools for BF2. Much better since I don't have to hunt down the CD. Basically when you copy the original BF2 cd to the image file on the HDD, But I think it has "SafeDisc 2" or some copy protection scheme on it. The basic idea is to go to GameCopyWorld.com or some other site and see the specifics as each game is different. For BF2, IIRC, I used CloneCD (I think the demo) and copied the BF2 CD to a file, but followed instructions to have it strip out the SafeDisc part. After that, I pointed Daemon Tools to that file and voila! For my kids' PCs I also use Daemon Tools to mount a couple of games for them too, works great. |
Yeah it can be done. I just left it in the drive though, since I have 2 dvdr's -d |
I installed that a little while ago for some reason (I can't remember why right now) and it has some kind of adware or other bullshit in it now. I uninstalled it right away. |
You can uninstall the adware in add/remove programs. Daemon Tools runs fine without it. |
You clicked Next too many times without reading :) When it goes to install it gives you the option to install some toolbar thingy with it. Read carefully :) -d |
