Can someone put to rest for me the video that is going around where it supposed to be a Canadian snipe in Afghan...I know the video has been out for several years now, but I tell my friends it is some one shooting Prairie Dogs and the swear to me it is the real McCoy...So I turn to AR15 to get the real answer...

With what?  A 75mm pack howitzer?

Do you really think a goat is going to fly 10-20 times it's own height in the air when getting hit by a rifle?  I hope you're not that stupid and a gun owner.

Ground Squirrels, Rock Chucks, Prairie Dogs...whatever you want to call them it's from a varmint hunting website. Someone posted to youtube claiming it to be a sniper, and every fool, and their brother fell for it. Yeah watch the Taliban flying 20 feet in the air from a rifle shot.    Especially the end where the "professional military sniper" whistles at his handiwork.

No they aren't mountain goats OR prairie dogs.
They are Western rockchucks. The Rocky mountain version of the woodchuck.
I don't know if they are using a .50 or what, but I think they are definitely using more horsepower than a 22-250 or other conventional varmint rifle.
Perhaps a .7mm or .300 Magnum with light bullets run wide-open (?)

Edited for spelling.

It was small rodents ten freakin' years ago when I first saw this hoax, and it's small rodents now.

People do not fly up in the air when they get shot.  The mass to flesh tensiile strength ratio is just too low.  You're either going to just fall down, or get blown to pieces.  Not fly up in the air in one piece.
