I know this sounds like it could be blended with the other video post, but due to extreme frustration and lack of insights I post this. I tried looking in the archives and I think I need more current experience and opinion.
I have a load of video .avi files that I'd like to work with, ie, edit, enhance, create nice looking and compelling nice compilations of this library. Some of this dates back 50+ years, film taken by Dad who was no John Milieus. Ie., he panned way toooooo fast. I'd like to see this software perhaps allow me to multiply the frames, 2-3-4x to make for a smoother panning. Maybe some lightening or darkening of "footage." Any suggestions welcome. |

I posted this up the other day. I use Sony Vegas Platinum. They have a free 30 day trial but the program is only $100. The intrerface is easy to use. Would be woth checking out. Here is a clip of what the interface looks like. http://www.vap3.net/images/vegas.JPG A friend of mine has gotten into video editing pretty heavily and I know he really likes Vegas. |

What issue(s) are you seeing? Too much motion blur, or jumpy video? You can use some professional software to "frame blend" (add a frame between two frames that is part of both surrounding frames), but that wouldn't really be as useful with motion blur. Can you post a small clip for us to view/play with? ::edit:: after re-reading, you may just want to slow down a pan, but do not see a "problem" such as motion blur or jumpiness. If that is the case, any entry level program like Vegas or Premiere Elements will do just fine. |

So you are using Vegas 32bit on the 64 bit platform and no issues? For the most part, 32 bit programs will work just fine on 64 bit OS (it's really drivers that could throw up problems). Those programs just won't be able to take advantage of 4+ GB of RAM like the x64 version will. x64 software on a an x86 OS is a no-go, however. |
