I have an older PIII 1 gig mhz dell, that I upgraded the card to a Nvidia GeForce Ti200 2 years ago. Now it will not run Half Life, Pacific Fighters and so forth. I am buying a new Zeus computer in April, but I am also looking at getting a newer card to hold this one over. Anybody have a Nvidia GeForce FX5500 256mb DDR? Will it run the newer games? What about Radeon? Any good? |
Any of those decent high end memory cards will work well. A very very important consideration that most people overlook is the amount and speed of RAM that your computer has. I recommend at least 512mb DDR RAM, but ideally 1+ gig. (if you can afford it) |
