Hey guys,
I was at a friends house yesterday to look at some of his guns. Talk eventually turned to AR's and he mention that he had a Colt rifle. I believe this to be a SP1, but since I'm not very familiar to AR's I'm not very sure. It was a government profile 20" barrel, A1 slick side upper, three prong flash hider, and black triangle hand guards, a1 stock, and grip. I don't recall seeing SP1 on the lower receiver though. It's definitely not an m16. He's going to be selling a lot of his collection and I was wondering what the value of this rifle would be? It is new never fired in box with all the papers and everything. He's a friend so I want to give him a fair price. Thanks, TXgunman |
| If it has a three-prong flash hider then I would surmise it is an SP1. The barrel is likely a 'pencil' or 'lightweight' barrel, not government profile. It would have a 1/12 twist. It sounds just like an SP1, and a NIB example would probably sell in excess of $1800-2000 on Gunbroker. |
