Anyone have any information in these? I am looking at a 2003 w/ 66,000 miles for 7000. Has a little body damage on the hood from running up underneath another car during minor accident. Otherwise good shape and the owner is a family member. Anyone have any experience with these used? Hate to spend that kind of money and have to pay for repairs. This will be for a my daughter.
Thanks for looking. |

If I'm remembering right the 2005-2007 years had really shitty transmissions. Around 60k they started to go tits up and it's around $2k to replace. A co-worker tried to do their brake pads last month and ran into problems in that it wasn't specified that there's some wiring relating to the brake pads that should be replaced when the pads are replaced. Their car light up the park light and they said the dealer told them that's what the issue was. The funny thing is the dealer that sold them the pads and never mentioned anything about the wires necessity. You'll also want one of the special caliper compressing tools that rotates and pushes at the same time. It can be done without it but it's hard as hell to get it done on my wife's Saab. The tool is worth the money if you do your own maintenance. ~$80 from Harbor Freight and it will get the job done. It actually seems pretty sturdy too could be something that gets regular use. |

Quoted: My aunt recently sold hers at 160,000 miles. The comment she got from a mechanic who she told about it's final mileage remarked "Wow! 160,000? I've never heard of one making it that far!" They haven't been here that long have they? I mean if they've been here ten years then 100K give or take would be about the norm, 160K would be pretty high I think. Anyways, I have heard bad things about maintenance, ease of, and costs. ![]() I really like them little things but I'm not sure I'd get into one. Research, research the hell out of it. |

Man, talk about mixed reviews. MSN autos says that year a problem with the manual transmission. Other than that the ratings are pretty good. Like and 8/10. |
