| Just finished this book by Laura Hillenbrand. Incredible story. I only hope I could be so forgiving of my captors in that situation. Really didn't like the Japanese for a few days after I finished it. |
| Great book, audiobook version was excellent as well. Its supposedly being made into a movie too. Hopefully Angelina Jolie, who's directing it, doesn't' fuck it up. |

Great book. I read it about a year or two ago when if first came out. It kind of pissed me off when I found out that Louis Zamperini already wrote an autobiography called "Devil at my Heels". I picked it up but still haven't read it yet.
Just makes me wonder how much Laura Hillenbrand took from that book while writing Unbroken. |

Just finished it. I actually drove home slower than normal AND sat in my garage for awhile so I could finish the read.
Very good. I'll mirror everything said above. I'd forgive the japanese if they were my enemies/captors/tormentors, but still want to kill them. The statistics on survivor's rates between the european and Pacific theatre were my new faveorite facts; then the parts about non-combat related casulties. |
| Just finished this on audible, VERY good book!!! I really liked the story was pretty crazy in some parts. I don't know if I would be able to forgive someone like that though. That shows how great society was during that time..... Sure a huge difference between then and now. It makes us look like crap to come from a society like that to where we are today. |
