You are probably about $500,000 to $1M short on your estimate.

Air suspension, like on a city bus when it lets a wheelchaired person out.  I imagine it can go up or down 6-8 inches.

No shit! A speed bump will ruin his day. I have been to many campgrounds that it cannot enter, being that lowslung.

Why anyone would want to spend $500K to drive their home around and have to cook, wash, clean, etc. on vacation is beyond me.

You could use that $500K and stay at seriously comfortable hotels and eat out, free of hassles and work. Throw in what you save on gas, and it makes no sense to me.

Saw an RV towing a H2 hummer in Walmart's parking lot last night. Guess they weren't too worried about fuel economy.

Got a few spare shekels?  Feel free to contact Featherlite Coaches!

All the major folks with bucks buy 'em!

I've seen a couple, and been inside one:  WOW!

They're expensive, but they put the "custom" in customizing.

Now, to find that winning Powerball ticket...

Back about 1990, I worked for an insanely rich engineer with a "custom" motorhome....

The ass end had a roll up door, and a pair of ramps that extended hydraulically.  He drove his 911 Porsche onto the ramps & secured it.  Then the ramps sucked the car up at 45 degrees over the diesel pusher power package.

The coach had a bit more overhang than normal, but otherwise it was not obvious.  It was easier to work on, since you could send the ramps out, and step right up to the power package.

I asked him why all the work, and he said he hated towing the car - "it gets dirty".

Russell Ziskey: Well I got the shit kicked out of me in Wisconsin once. Forget it!

I could use on of those in my line of work. I spend about 250 days or more in hotels per year. I am looking at RV's to pull or drive to the job sites.
RV parks run about $250 per month as opposed to $1400 for most hotels.
I will spend from three weeks to four months at a given site.
With a per diem of $85 per day I can increase my bottom line and my comfort.
Think your own bed to your liking, having the "toys" you wish have around without the hotel maids going through your stuff.
A added bonus that courts have ruled RV's a residence, thus can be defended as such.

Umm.  I don't think people buy these things to save money.

I definately see the attraction.  Spend6 months driving all over this great land, and you would get sick of Perkins and Motel 6 real quick, plus the miles melt away when you have a jacuzzi, home theater, game tables and a kitchen!

(no I don't have one, but I can pretend...)
