At the risk of speculating without all the data, it doesn't look like it crashed for lack of fuel.

Exclusive: a Hawk T2 getting airborne from RAF Valley, N. Wales. As it rolls down the runway flames appear from the rear of the jet. The Hawk T2 does not have reheat (afterburner). As the jet climbs the flames seem to disappear. The main Hydraulic system is on the rear left side. pic.twitter.com/WafevD2BQg

Also, afterburners traditionally come out the tailpipe, not from the dorsal area.

Holy cow that Japan airlines 777 at the end of the vid. Looked like the headwind was so bad he couldn’t get it to settle then a mad vert climb as the runway was getting short.
