Anyone have any experience with these? I can't get my boat to troll slow enough and I've heard of people using these. 26' Albemarle, would like to troll at approx 2mph. Can't really stay under 4-5mph. I've found some online, but I want to know what size I should use and the best way to rig it.

A friend of mine had the same boat and to live bait fish for kings he could not go slow enough so we took 2 5 gallon buckets and drilled holes in them and tied them to the gunwales.  It worked and was a cheap option.

Never heard them called that, look online for  drift socks. They are probably the same thing.  I just pull one  about 20' directly behind the boat.

I used to do the same thing on my old boat.  Worked like a charm.

Any idea on the hole sizes and how many?

Don't worry. The boat will redeem itself somehow. New batteries, electrical problem, water pump, it'll find something that needs money to offset the savings.
