Do you practice it with non firearm actuators?

I noticed myself doing just that the other day working on projects around the house.  Saw, screwgun, etc.

Muscle memory is good I suppose.

Yes, actually I find myself doing that with power tools as well.

I watch a lot of 70s/80s movies and TV and you rarely ever see trigger discipline back then.  Nowadays you do see it in nearly every movie and TV show.

Yeah, I do it with all the time... power tools, steamers, caulk guns... I laugh every time I catch myself doing it.

yes...
if it has a "pistol grip" or rifle/handgun type hold/feel i always exercise trigger discipline.
this comes in VERY handy with a chainsaw!
i was walking around one day and tripped, if i had my finger on the trigger i would have probably cut my leg up, even with the chainsaw chaps on...

Noticed myself doing that with my cordless drill.

I seem to do it with anything that has a "Pistol" type grip.

I think I even do it with a pizza cutter.
I always get sauce on my finger.

No, though mine is cheaper than DeWalt. I point the muzzle (drill bit) at the ground if someone crosses in front of me, finger off the trigger.
