| It takes me a year to buy a truck and I am adding the Tacoma 2.7 auto on my list. The only thing I pull is my trailer with my ATV on it so I think a 4 cylinder should be enough. No mountains here in south La. Here are the questions for the owners of the above truck. What is your gas milage? What kind of service can I get out of the 2.7 engine and how good is their auto trans ?I will also look at the GMC Canyon and I may look at the Nssan Frontier but that one will be to the rear of the pack. I am looking to buy new. |

i understand that that engine has balls for being a 4 banger, and you know it's gonna be reliable as all get out. check out yotatech.com, but it sounds like a good choice to me. still might wanna check out the 3.4 liter, but the 2.7 isn't bad either- and it's way easier on the gas mileage. i drive a 3.4 liter 4runner- it pulls trailers really easily. i usually pull around an 18' boat- weighs in at around 3.5k, makes little difference in acceleration, braking is definitely compensated, but every trailer is gonna do that unless it's got brakes. www.yotatech.com |
