| My stupid fucking boss did not give us a X-mas bonus this year. I guess that seeing how we are doing all the work with 15 less fucking people we are somehow still not making any money and he cant affrod it. I guess i will just have to shit on his desk tommorow, fucking asshole. He seems to have cash for the shit he wants, he never ''shares the wealth'' with us like he always spouts he will do when there is profit. |
He does if he always talks about sharing the wealth and then does not share when it clear there is some money coming in. |
Maybe he means sharing the wealth with his family...

The only responsibility he has to you is to pay you for hours worked and other agreed-upon benefits. The only responsibility you have towards him is to be there, doing the work assigned. He's not in business to "share the wealth". He's in business to make money. |
Well then he should not make statements like that to his employees. We were all praised about how we stepped up and now we re left wondering WTF? |
| Christmas Bonus? I've never gotten one. Sure wish I had. Why don't you be thankful you have paycheck. Exactly how much would your bonus been? A few hundred grand? If its so bad and irresponsible (hey Chirstmas is still 5 days away), why don't you quit, start your own company and you can hire me. Then give me my first Christmas bonus!! |

Obviously not well enough if you didn't get a bonus... The rich get richer and poor get poorer..wah wah wah Be thankful for what you have and not what you think you deserve.

Seriously dude.. I never have or will expect a xmas bonus. Hell, tomorrow is pay day and I couldn't tell ya one way or another if I will get a bonus. If I do fuckin great if I don't no big deal... I do believe that all of my past employers did what they could at xmas. Life goes on and not getting a bonus this xmas is the worst thing that's gonna happen to you consider yourself lucky. Spend the holidays with friends and family, eat, drink and fuckin be merry...

If you aren't doing the books, you have no idea what the company's finances might be. You aren't just naturally entitled to a Christmas bonus unless it's contractual. I'm thinking you should start your own business and make payroll on time. |

I've been working professionally for about 10 years now, four different companies and I've always gotten some kind of year end or Christmas bonus. I don't depend on them and I like to call it free money but it's nice to have... maybe some of you guys should be the ones looking for the new job and enjoy of of the benefits of a performance or holiday bonus. As for the OP if he got them in previous years and didn't get one this year even though the boss was letting up like everyitng was going ok then that's on the boss, his inconsiderate ass should have let his employees know there was no bonus this year. |

No christmas bonus? To bad and I feel your pain. I worked for 12 years at on place and never got a bonus. Went to work for a semi conductor place and they would give us 2 weeks paid off at xmas(we did not have to use our vacation time, too bad I was laid off when they closed the plant). Current job? Well we got our bonous today. Usually it's a gift card for the supermarket but today it was a visa gift card with enough money to buy what I need to finish my 3rd ar .

What is this "Christmas Bonus" of which you all speak? In 15 years have never worked for a company that gave them out. Oh, and here's a better one. I'm a contractor on a .gov facility. President Bush declared Christmas Eve a holiday for .gov employees. I was told I can either take vacation time or make up the eight hours during the rest of the pay period, as it is not a holiday for me. Never mind that the facility will not be open even if I could come to work. I also own a business. If I don't work I don't get paid. Your rant gets a giant FAIL from me. |
LOL - I had a boss once that made a big deal about family always coming first. I took off Thanksgiving AFTERNOON and was called into his office the next week (after he got back from his Thanksgiving trip to the Bahamas with his family) to a royal ass-chewing for neglecting my duties. I had worked 3 weeks straight without a day off because we were short-handed and most of those days were longer than 8 hours. When I gave him my notice three days later he was astounded -- had no idea I was "unhappy" -- funniest thing I ever saw!! |
