How do you subscribe to a thread?  I remember there used to be an option somehwere near the top but now I dont see it anymore

I see a button thst says subscriptions, but I haven't figured how to actually subscribe to a thread.

the subscription button shows up in other forum sections like industry, ar-15, ak-45, etc, but not in general for me, so must be some non pay member bs. w/e

I think the way it works for non-Team members is to hit the Subscribe button, then go to your Profile to view the list.  The number of them is set at 25 (IIRC).

yes but subscribe is not available to click in general section. it is there in the other sections tho...........

in the other sections all the threads also have a green circle with a white + in them that say "subscribe to this thread" while general does not.

I think he (GoatBoy) did mention making it that way.  The idea was to limit the needed resource use, but allow subscriptions for non-paying members in the technical areas of the site.  GD is for amusement, so he felt the need to save where it would hurt the least.  The site is just growing too fast, and gobbling up too much by way of server demand and bandwidth.  That rate of growth is obviously a mixed blessing.
