Quick favor for those with access to VIDA or whatever the Volvo shop manual is I've looked at the free ones out and can't find answer 2012 Volvo s60 t5 Looking for information on the turbo oil return line that removes unused oil from turbo and takes it back to the pan Once unbolted from the turbo can I wiggle this loose from the oil pan? Btw, the turbo doesn’t consume oil (normally) so all of it should return to the pan! Appreciate the info I did the gasket last weekend and scraped most of it off but leaking (manifold gasket job originally) Didn't know the tube was replaceable so prolly need to replace that oring and make sure the gasket was fully scrapped off Mistyped about the consuming oil Except the weak piston rings on the car and leaks lol |

The pipe was wiggly but pulled right out Swapped the gasket on both ends of the pipe Found why the car was skeeting oil Attached File I didn't get all of old gasket last time, did it blind as I didn't know the return line just pulled out. All cleaned up and ready for the ball Attached File Also the aftermarket gasket wasn't round like the one I bought from dealer Purple is factory, green is aftermarket Attached File All is good. I ran her hard Saturday and kid driving to work and no oil drops since /knocks on wood Volvos are fun cars But watch them exhaust manifold studs :) |
