I have been promised by an Afghan that he is going to draw me a picture of a Bala, I will post if he does. People who have been to AFG please post your stories as well. On the Bala: "Bala is very tall woman, with long fingers and long fingernail, she has magic hat, she use fingernail, she GRAB YOU!" "Then what happens?" "She grab you" "Ok" "My father was grab by bala, he is dead now" "Becuase of the Bala?" "She grab him" "Ok" "You can stop Bala, you take her hat, she become normal woman" Or from another Afghan: "Bala is like ghost, sometime come like shape of cow, sometime like donkey, sometimes like wolve howling in night" Kunar is also apparently completely full of Werewolves and bigfoots, and you must sing on your post at night to keep the Jinn away. |

Any Bala drawings in the works? My Ana were from Khost and Kabul mostly. They didn't tell me about Bala! I'm going to hit up my old Linguist by email and ask him if he can give me the run down on Bala. I'll report back if I find out any information.
