I just watched all five seasons and I'm hooked.
Will FX rerun season 6 before the start of season 7?
My search-fu sucks.

From the previous years, they always run the season before.

Great show....my hands sweat sometimes while watching Vic ALMOST get busted time and time again.

i wish they would stop screwin with it. Season 7 is really just the second half of season 6. for some reason after season 6 was finished they decided to only air 8 or 9 episodes and save the remaining 11 and call it season 7 and then you have to wait an entire year. i hate that shit.

Too bad the end is coming.
Then again you can only get away with so much before it gets ridiculous

I had heard the network only paid for the initial 8 episodes, fearing ratings were going down...When the ratings held, they bankrolled the remaining"season", but had to shoot it still...had the ratings sucked, they would have killed off some more folks I think...
I love the Shield

Agreed. It would ruin the show if they kept it going for another 5 years and they kept just getting away with shit. The show is ending at the perfect time, though I could argue that it should ended at the end of season 5.

They had everything written before the writers strike and the last season starts in January. I hope Vic makes Shane pay for Lem.

Try HBOs the Wire.  It is one of the best shows on TV.

Hell the Wire is excellent.

I flew cross country on an American Airlines flight (SEA - JFK) a couple of years ago and had a flight attendant that looked exactly like Michael Chiklis.  I guess that's AA's new counter-terrorism policy--get bad-ass motherfucker-looking flight attendants.

The Wire is a deeper drama, it's really different from the shield because the druggies/dealers/bangers/corner boys aren't extras they're actual characters.

I like both.

The Shield easily took the place of Lost and 24 last year. Every time I downloaded a new episode I watched it ASAP and put the other two on the back burner.

IMO The Shield is MUCH better than 24.

The Shield ruined every other cop show for me. Seriously, no other show compares now that I've been exposed to The Shield's greatness. 24 is like watching paint dry in comparison.

It's messed up he killed that cop at the beginning, but I don't even care now. I hope in the end Vic and Ronnie come out on top and Shane pays for what he did.

I hope they show that one cop chick's ass again too. Damn she's hot.

The Wire isn't bad at all, but its a notch below The Shield in terms of writing, IMO
Brotherhood on Showtime isn't bad either.

I think they could squeeze another 3-4 seasons out of The Shield without it getting stupid, and I'm really hoping they do. I don't think any series ever compared to the quality of this show... in all aspects. Its like a book on film, very immersive.

I watched the first 3-4 seasons of 24 in a marathon.
24, while you can get interested in it...
is a completely predictable drama-fest.
I found the writing to be terrible, and the plot not much better.

most of them are actors. what sets them apart from other tv shows is that it shot in beemo using more blacks actors on one series than any other show . yes some are from the streets but they're not all beemo homies, some yes, most actors
