OK, we finally managed to put a REPUBLICAN MAJORITY in place. That was Phase One. Now it is time for them to PAY UP. The money they spent on campaigns was NOT the price. Standing up for US is the price. We got TOO DAMN MANY anti gun Republicans who we elected simply because they were "slightly" better than the anti gun Democrats they ran against. They NEED to be made to understand we will not tolerate any Libby Dole "AK47s are bad" shit. We got Feinstein to tell us which guns are bad. Call your representatives that YOU voted for and tell them precisely what they owe YOU. Tell them EXACTLY why you elected them. Getting them elected and "expecting" them to do right by you is about the same as voting Democrat. If they don't perform, it's gonna be a short term. |

And for those in Kalifornia who are once again saddled with a Democratic majority despite voting for Republicans or even ferret-lovers? It means you've got to get off the bench. Since you're at your computer from time to time, get used to the fact that you're going to have to start up Word (or something similar) and write letters to snail-mail to the elected officials, even if you didn't vote for them (just don't tell them that) when it comes time to vote for the anti-gun laws that are coming. Letters are what carry the most weight with politicians and the media--not e-mails, faxes, pre-printed post cards or phone calls. (Just my two cents, but lots of stupid trends/laws start in Kal and spread like cancer to the rest of the country.) [soapbox] |
