The "inexpensive" watch thread, and it's a bunch of stuff that costs more than a brand new Glock purchased at retail. lol I've been wearing Fitbits for over a decade, but I'm not porting my Fitbit account to Google, so it's time to move on. I assumed I'd get a smart watch from Apple or Garmin, but I'm not loving the price tags or the compromises there. I'm digging through the various Casio/G-Shock options and I'm both overwhelmed and yet having a hard time finding what I think I want. |

My son got this in January to replace his older one. $140 factory refurbished Venu 2.

More cheapness.  The Casio is my main backup. The Seiko was my main work watch until I started cracking the crystal. It's on its third one now, and it's cracked. The black-faced Elgin was my Dad's and probably dates back to the 60s at least. The Nautica was my 20th anniversary gift from Verizon. Attached File |

Seiko really is an excellent brand for value. I really like this one - a good automatic movement and a nice style. I think it was around $250.

I have misplaced my Citizen Ecodrive, and dug this old titanium, swiss-made Victorionix 24080 'Alliance' from highschool graduation out. It needs a battery and new pins.  I have been thinking of doing a DIY Seiko mod build for a while. It needs to be Ti (skin irritation), so that narrows down selection and bumps price up pretty quick. But it does look doable with very good bits for less than $700 |

I had that one and didn't like it because of the bezel like you mentioned and the lack of lume on the dial, better off getting the marlin and dealing with changing a battery every few years. |
