Chris Martenson encouraged things like this in his videos on the virus.
Why? More important to save lives and to keep people home, pay them. My own though is that since banks and big corporations get bailouts and we pay for it via taxes, why shouldn't we? I'd rather have a tax credit. |

From a NumbersUSA e-mail: This morning's news reports indicate that the Senate plans to unveil the text for a third emergency stimulus bill in response to the coronavirus outbreak later today. Politico is reporting that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is pushing for the bill to include a massive increase in the EB-5 investor visa program. Graham's plan is to increase the number of EB-5 visas from 10,000 to 75,000. The EB-5 visa program provides foreign nationals with a green card in return for an investment in an American business that leads to the creation of at least 10 jobs for American workers. Currently, investors have to invest at least $900,000, but the Graham proposal could reduce that amount to $450,000. Quite simply, the EB-5 visa program is the selling of U.S. citizenship. It's ridiculous to think that while Americans are concerned about their jobs and their health, that some Senators are looking for ways to benefit foreign nationals instead

Dang, they're going to put all Americans on the .gov teat, forbid private loans from being collected, then (presumably) pay the companies who made the private loans. Essentially, EVERYONE and EVERYTHING will be on the .gov dole.
