We stopped at Costco in Springfield and they didn't have any of the bourbon jackpots I often see people post, as far as I know. I went in wholly unprepared and didn't even take my phone so I could research bourbons. They had several single-malt scotches with names I recognize. For bourbon, they had Woodford Double Oaked, a JD single barrel Heritage (blue label), Maker's Mark, Old Forester, Angel's Envy, Buffalo Trace for $20/750 ml and a few others. Having not done any research, I decided to grab the bottle of greatest interest, since Costco's prices seem to be very good. I grabbed a New Riff 8 year. I hear them mentioned a lot, but know nothing about them. |

| TW did a 1792 drop today. Aged 12 years, Sweet Wheat, FP (and a store pick FP), SiB and BiB. They put it in live inventory on the app so I was able to get a SW and handle of WSR. Tonight when I went to pick them up I checked the shelves and found two more SW pushed to the back of the display. I grabbed one (limit 1) and got it before I picked up my other bottles. Had a pour tonight. It is as good as I remembered (it's been quite a few years since I last had it). Damn pics won't upload but if they do later I'll edit this to include one. |
