| Does anyone know what assalt rifle that Arnold had in the first Terminator movie when he drove into the police station and got out with a franchi shotgun in one hand and a rifle in the other hand? |

The Terminator: The 12 gauge autoloader. Shopkeeper: That's Italian, you can go pump or auto. The Terminator: The .45 longslide, with laser sighting. Shopkeeper: These are brand new, we just got them in. That's a good gun. You just touch the trigger, the beam comes on and you put the red dot where you want the bullet to go, you can't miss. Anything else? The Terminator: Phased plasma rifle in the 40 Watt range. Shopkeeper: Hey, just what you see, pal. The Terminator: The Uzi 9 mm. Shopkeeper: You know your weapons, buddy. Any one of these is ideal for home defense. So, uh, which'll it be? The Terminator: All. Shopkeeper: I may close early today, there's a, uh, 15 day wait on the handguns but the rifles you can take right now, you can't do that. The Terminator: Wrong. BOOM |

They had the shotgun sound right in the nightclub scene, at least. That's for sure. That is one of the last, best, great shotgun scenes. Rob |
In an interview with James Cameron he said they were going to include a segment showing the Terminator modifying the weapons but they cut it out for editing reasons. Even if the AR-18 and the Uzi had been F/A he still would have had to wait for the FBI background check and the tax stamp. |
